“Whatever others say, it is Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa who would become the President on 9th January. Now look, I got 120,000 preferential votes at the provincial council election. However, the number of my preferential votes was reduced using ‘computer jilmart’. The present Commissioner of Elections was in the Election Secretariat then. He knows very well what is happening. Now Mr. Mahinda Deshapriya says it is not possible to carry out ‘computer jilmarts. However, I experienced it. May be it would be repeated and Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa would be the president on the 9th,” says the Deputy Minister of Minor Export Crop Promotion Nishantha Muthuhettigama.
Speaking further the Deputy Minister said, “We would carry out a top class game in Galle on the 8th. The President will receive the highest number of votes from our electorate. We have prepared what is necessary for that. We would win the election with more than a 2 million majority. Even if the President is defeated he would remain the President for two more years. ‘Aiyo’ Sirisena would have to wait for two more years. Maithri would not be able to complete his programme in 100 days. Our President will win for the 6th time. He would be the President until he lives.”
Nishantha Muthuhettigama was questioned regarding setting fire to a stage prepared for a meeting of the common candidate at Wanduramba. His driver and two supporters were arrested for the incident.
