Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that he is aware about an effort by certain UPFA MPs to unite former Presidents Chandrika Kumaratunga, Mahinda Rajapaksa and incumbent President Maithripala Sirisena.
He said he was extremely happy to hear about the efforts and is extending his heartiest wishes to the ‘friendship’ of the trio.
The Premier said this during a verbal exchange between him and MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara.
“I have heard of efforts to create a friendship between former presidents Chandrika Kumaratunga, Mahinda Rajapaksa and the incumbent one Maithripala Sirisena. I extend my whole hearted best wishes for that effort to build a friendship among those three,” he added.
