25 MPs involved in drug rackets.


The Chairperson of the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (NDDCB) Nilanga Samarasinghe has written to all secretaries of political parties that the Board is prepared to give details regarding MPs who represented Parliament who were involved in the drug trade.

He said it is the responsibility of all parties to pay attention regarding this when preparing their lists of nominations for the forthcoming general election. He said the Board has information regarding 25 MPs that represented the ruling party as well as the opposition in the last parliament and the Board is prepared to give the information if the political parties request such information.
