4-monthly addition of 18-year-olds

The Elections Commission says it has decided to introduce a new system whereby the names of all persons who reach the age of 18 could be immediately included in the official Register of Voters.

The Commission has decided to release a list of names of youth who have reached the age of 18 once in 4 months.

This comes in a sequel to complaints from youth who claim they are being deprived of their eligibility to vote when the Register of Voters is only amended once a year.
